Ano Milia 5 Towers Pieria Mountains

Ano Milia is a village in the Prefecture of Pieria, 15 km from Kato Milia. It is one of the most historic settlements in Pieria Mountains at an altitude of 1000 meters. First-inhabited in the 17th century and counting hundreds of steps in history from 1999 to 2010 belonged to the Municipality of Petra, and from 2011 it administratively belongs to the enlarged Municipality of Katerini. It has a population of 6 inhabitants, according to the 2011 Census. Remains of the village are remnants of the famous Lagoon Tower, the well-known Cleopatramenos family of Olympus. A memorial for this family was erected in the area, from the Municipality of Petra.

At an altitude of 1,050 m there is the Katerini EKO Katerini (mountaineering club) with a capacity of 62 people and water source. In the village there is a Residential Association, which organizes the first 10 days of September a popular feast with music and dancing events at the Shelter. On July 26, events take place in the memory of Saint Paraskevi. It is a favorite destination not only for those who come from there, but also for hundreds of visitors
